Mantas Ezcaray is the successor to and heir of Cecilio Valgañón, who, around 1930, shifted from producing cloth on his handlooms to manufacturing handkerchiefs, scarves, shawls and blankets. Ezcaray is a municipality in La Rioja (Spain). It is situated in the south-west of the region, in the La Rioja Alta district, and more specifically in the Upper Oja Valley. It has a population of 2,069.
